Sylane Hurling Club was the only club formed in Ireland in the centenary year of the GAA in 1984. The club colours are black and amber. The club grounds are located at the extreme north of the parish of Corofin located approximately (4 miles) out the Weir Road Tuam or by turning right before Belclare village (4 miles). The club catchment area is Corofin, Caherlistrane, Kilconly and Headford with young players attending training from all of these areas.
