SMA FAMILY FUN DAY  -  SMA House, Claregalway, Suday 2nd June, 12 Noon to 5p.m. We would be grateful to receive good quality items for various stalls: unwanted gifts, toiletries, china, ornaments, plants etc., we also would love to receive some home baking for our cake stall.  All items can be handed into SMA House up to an including the actual day.  All proceeds in aid of our Missions

Corofin A.C will hold their annual Kids Fun Day Event Friday the 24th of May in Corofin GAA pitch. Registration at 5:30pm.Events/Races at 6:00pm. Categories pre-school Junior Senior 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th Races 30/50/80 metre race, potato and spoon race, three legged race and sack race. Entry per child €2/3 children €5. Choral performance at the museum A women’s chamber choir from Indiana, USA, will give a free performance in the Courtyard Gallery at the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life, Turlough Park, Castlebar, at 2.30pm on Friday, May 24. The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Madrigals are visiting Ireland for the Mayo International Choral Festival. Admission free

Healing/Anointing Catholic Ministry Service Sunday May 19th from 1.15 pm to 5.30 pm in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.  Led by Fr. Shane Sullivan and Lay Preacher, Noel Byrne, Co. Carlow.  Praise and worship healing prayers, talks and Eucharistic Adoration after 12 noon Mass.  All are welcome

Hooley in the HallMany thanks to all who supported our Hooley last Sunday in the Dr Duggan Hall.  It was a fantastic afternoon of music & dancing & great fun!.  €2,428 was raised for the purchase of ICT equipment for Cummer National School.

Open Parish Meeting on Monday, May 27 at 8 p.m in St Colman’s room (behind Church) , when representatives of all organisations---sporting, cultural, leisure, religious, etc.--- in the parish are invited to come together to discuss the future development of Corofin and the surrounding hinterland. The meeting is open to all parishioners with an interest in developing further infrastructure and leisure amenities in the village and adjoining areas. Hopefully, we will develop a Vision for Corofin, which can be implemented over the next few years. This will be your chance to join in the discussion and help plan for where we need to be. All welcome.

Duck Race on the River Clare  The event will take place in Castle Grounds estate on Sunday 9th June. Preparations are well underway and the ducks will officially be on sale this weekend in Rafterys Centra. Great prizes and lovely family day out.

Irish Pilgrimage Trust would like to thank everyone who contributed to their church gate collection.  The money raised help bring children with special needs on pilgrimage to Lourdes at Easter and also funds respite care breaks. Total amount  385.21

Freda Roche would like to thank everyone who helped raise €953.00 at the  Western Alzheimers tea day held in Gills. Thanks to Peter & Geraldine McHugh (Gills) for use of their lounge, Cyril O’Grady and Rafterys Centra for displaying money boxes. Thanks to all.
